The Source Weekly

The summer between her Junior and Senior years of college at the University of Oregon, Anne took an internship at Bend’s alternative weekly newspaper, The Source Weekly. After graduating during the recession, she eventually landed a part-time gig as The Source’s Calendar Editor. Over the years, Anne has written freelance for the newspaper off and on, focusing on film, music, arts and culture. Most recently, Anne spent a year and a half as the Music Writer for The Source. She interviewed some of her indie rock heroes, including James Mercer of The Shins, Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, G. Love and many others. It’s through her work as the Music Writer that she connected with Mark Ransom and got involved with Bend Roots Revival.
